April Morning at Casa Guemes

 

 

Guemes Island is a short ferry ride away from Anacortes, WA. The island has one primary store, Anderson's General Store. If you need anything, this is the place.  If they don't have it, they'll tell you how you can live without it.  Most excellent food!

 

Casa Guemes underwent a remodel starting in 2008. First, we removed the mansard-style roof. Second, we added a small study on the second floor between the main home and carriage house. Third, we enlarged the Eagle's nest on the third floor, which serves as Deb's studio. Our spring and summer projects of 2012 will be renovating the entry.
